Location rocks! It's just a short distance away from the bay, about 2 km. the staff here are really great, and the views are simply amazing. 😍 Can't recommend it enough - we had a fantastic time!

Memorable experience, the hotel is comfy with brilliant location very close to the ferry terminal. There are incredibly comfortable rooms with good bathrooms. The main bar is nice, greatly enjoyed this place.

This place is a vibrant spot for a trip, with a very central location and easy access from the ferry port, and I would be happy to recommend it.

All in all everything was excellent, had a fine stay for one night with shared bathroom & toilet areas. The hotel had excellent and beautiful location not far from the island, the Rakiura Track and the 4 square. It also was right on the Half Moon Bay waterfront...

The rooms are modest with shared toilets & bathrooms and the staff are exceptional. Awesome and favourable location, a ferry port is very close to the hotel.

The staff at South Sea Hotel was hard-working, knowledgeable, and responded promptly to requests. The restaurant was excellent with friendly, helpful staff, and we both ordered delicious dishes. The bathroom was tidy, and the beds were comfortable.

Great location right by the water and with a nice view of the street. The room I got had a really comfy bed, plus they provided coffee and a kettle for a nice cuppa whenever I wanted. ☕

The hotel has a charming character and friendly staff. the food is exceptional and reasonably priced. It offers a fantastic location with great views over the bay. the roof terrace is a nice spot to relax. There's a nearby park and a giant chess set. It's convenient to rent electric bikes, visit the supermarket, and access the information center. Guests have the opportunity to participate in the weekly quiz night. It's also easy to reach the Blue Penguins' landing spot.

Felt very lucky, no complaints at all.
